Re-Banding – Requests for Approval
The Trust user must send details of the group to be re-banded and the request to the web database.
Two methods are available to send data to the web database
Bulk Synchronise with web database
This allows a number of groups to be sent for the first time or to update the web database as required. This method does not allow request for re-banding to be made. It is available on the "Remote" menu.
Current Group – Web database send/update
This applies to the currently selected group only. Requests for re-banding can be made. It is available on the "Remote" menu or on the right click menu.
When this option is selected, the screen shows the current approval status in the lower half and allows approval requests to made in the upper half. The "Print Current Status" buttons creates a report showing the current status.
Request for Template Approval
No other information is required. Comments may be added if needed. Make sure the "Request Template Approval" radio button is selected and click the "Send" button. All information on the database for the group will be transferred to the web database and a request for template approval added.
Request for Implementation Approval
When the "Implementation Approval" radio button is selected, a number of input fields will become available. The planned implementation date and the number of doctors involved must be supplied. If provisional re-banding is being requested, the box must be checked and the reasons for the request typed in the entry box that will appear.
Check the two boxes to state that educational acceptability has been confirmed and that junior doctor agreement has been obtained.
General comments may be added if needed in the "Comments – Trust" box.
Click the "Send" button. All information on the database for the group will be transferred to the web database and a request for implementation approval added.
Request for Formal Approval
Before a request for formal approval can be made, a request for implementation approval must have been granted and a monitoring study with a start date after the recorded implementation must be recorded on the DRS database.
The actual implementation date must be specified.
General comments may be added if needed in the "Comments – Trust" box.
Click the "Send" button. All information on the database for the group will be transferred to the web database and a request for formal approval added.
